Hi everyone! i want to share with you what i’ve been up to, i hadn’t said anything before but i’m trying to get into a masters program in France, is been a long long journey but this week i finally sent my last application, so now i’m anxiously waiting for the results, wish me luck!. i was hoping i could relax during this time, but two months is just too much time to bear, so i’ll just try to focus on the blog instead of the calendar.
To take a bit of pressure off, i decided to go to one of my favorite places, where food is delicious and drinks are even better, Tata has the best mezcales in town, if you ever happen to be in Morelia, you have to stop by and try the “Pasion mezcalera” or try something of their always changing menu. Aside from that i also thought it was the perfect place for my next post, i want to add a little bit of interior design into the blog, a bit more of me.As for the clothes i chose this lace up top with a denim skater skirt, it was about time i caught up with the 70s wave, how do you you think it looks better? denim or leather skirt, monochromatic outfits are definitely in right now too. I really hope you enjoy this pictures, it was hard for me to choose, i think i took like 50, until next time.

Introducing a new section to the blog, as you already know I’m an architect and I’m really interested in interior design, actually looking forward to do a master on that domain this year, unfortunately i’m still waiting for an answer from the universities, wish me luck. Anyways, I want to bring to you all the places I’ve discovered that serve me as inspiration, I hope you like them as much as I do.

DIY Monogram Letter Pillow

I love love love DIYs so i wanted to introduce my first diy to the blog, i used to watch every episode of Fashion Police and was obsessed with the monogram letter pillows they had on the chairs so i thought of making one for myself, next i’ll show you step by step how to, this does not require sewing (thank god! cause i suck at it).

You’ll need:

  • 2 yards of white fabric or with a pattern your choice
  • Measuring rulers
  • Pencil or something to draw
  • Scissors
  • Iron on adhesive
  • Tape
  • Black fabric paint
  • Paint brush
  • Monogram letter printed in adhesive paper

First extend your fabric in a flat surface, draw a square of 17 to 18 inches and a rectangle 4 inches larger tha the square, leave about and inch of seam allowance, this is were you will be applying the iron on adhesive, cut both, (sorry for the quality of this photos i took them with my phone).

IMG_3217Now cut the rectangle in half and placed the iron on adhesive where the dashed line is, fold it and iron it.

Sin título-1

Next place the iron on adhesive on the edges of your square and on top of it the two rectangles with the seam facing you, don`t forget to place adhesive between the space where the two rectangles meet. Iron it until the fabric is glued.IMG_3228Turn it upside down and your pillow case is done! if you picked a printed fabric you could leave it like that but if you want your monogram letter next you have to cut off the letter and place the rest of the paper on top of the pillow case’s front face. With tape make a rectangle of an inch surrounding the letter and start painting.

Finally when your paint is dried take off the tape and your pillow is finished! here is how mine turned out, hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial.
